Anak ("child" in Indonesian) came into existence 5 years ago, based on the wish to create employment and income for many skilled artisan men and women in Indonesia and to reintroduce their locally made products to Indonesian children.
Currently, the foundation Anak is sustaining about 8 talented independent craftsmen and women, who are being well paid for their small-scale production. All dolls' clothes and dolls' accessories are handmade.
For every doll you purchase, the foundation will donate its twin to an Indonesian child in need. We believe in sharing childhood hopes and dreams, and we personally thank you for your help.
